MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We hope you receive lots of nice presents from Father Christmas and enjoy your holidays with your family and friends.
We also hope you start the new year in the best possible way and brings you happiness and luck.
Keep in touch,

The 6th graders.

We wish we can meet in person one day.

*** This message is for Petra, from Valentina: Petra, I received a letter from you last year, and I didn't have an email account. Now I have one: nina.sandes@hotmail.com. What is yours? We can be in touch.

CHRISTMAS AT SON CANALS

NADAL TEMPS DE CINEMA means CINEMA AT CHRISTMAS TIME. Why?????
During this academic year, our school has chosen the Cinema as a general topic to work on. All the school is involved in it. For this reason each class has made a poster related to a Christmas film. Moreover, we would like to explain to you that we hear some popular films music when we start school and also when we finish it, instead of a horrible bell.

This is our poster, the one the 6th graders made. We modified it, because this film "Madagascar 3" didn't originally have a Christmas atmosphere, but we changed it a bit adding Christmas objects.

This is a general view of our hall right now. We hope you enjoy it.

If you pay attention, you will see lots of paper hearts decorating the walls. They have been made by us at home with the help of our families. This is a nice way everybody can participate in it. Why hearts? Because Christmas is time to love the others.

And we will just finish this presentation by showing you our corner devoted to the 3 kings, the most popular moment at Christmas time in Spain. Father Christmas is becoming more and more popular every year (but it has been imported from your country), but the 3 kings are part of our tradition. We celebrate them on January 6th.

About Majorcan weather

Hi again, friends.

It was really nice to see your photos and read your messages.

How envious we are!!!!!  We can't snowboard or ski in Mallorca. Our weather is completely different so it never snows here, just from time to time. It snowed a lot last year but it is not common.

Instead of practising snow activities,  we usually go hicking to the mountains or sail to other islands, like Cabrera or Sa Dragonera.

Now it is November and it is not cold yet. It is sunny and the temperature is quite mild, about 19 degrees.
What temperature have you got right now?

Next week we will send you some photos of our school and of the lovely weather we have now.

BYE , FRIENDS.  GOOD LUCK AND REGARDS FROM PALMA.

We keep in touch.

The 6th grade class.

HELLO!

It was nice to hear from you!

We are in the 5th grade, and we go also to high school next year.
We have snow already here!
We like winter.
In winter we snowboard and cross country ski.

(Boys at back, Henri and Jere)

We are in the 4th class.
We don't like winter.  We are now in the English club. The club is on Thursdays and there are about 10 members in the club. In our own class there are 24 students.
 We are 10 years old.

The 6th grade class in Son Canals School

Hi again, friends.

First of all, thank you very much for your photos. The Autumn colours in Finland are really nice.

We feel very lucky to keep in touch with you during this academic year.

This is our last year in Son Canals because we are in the 6th grade class and we will move to the high school next year.

In Palma, our lovely weather started changing last week to worse weather. Autumn is coming along. What a pity!!!!!!!!

This afternoon, our teacher Emilia will send you some photos we took some days ago in the English class.

We hope you will like them.

We also want to explain to you that we are in a Comenius Project this year with Turkey and Slovenia, so we will have to fly to these countries. It will be very exciting!!!!!

Our project is about the responsible use of  the Internet and it is called.. THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK.

Bye now and be in touch very soon.

Our school’s shows and celebrations! :)

Our school has got many shows and celebrations.

I think the best of all was the night party in Valentine´s Day where I was with. That party was held by 4th graders. In there we had a lot of fun things and competitions and a fashion show. I was in the magic show. And I was the host and an actor for the magic show.

And we have also a spring party when school ends in the end of May, Christmas party and then we had the light celebrations in the autumn!

J

In the autumn, the fourth class organized a Valentine’s Day celebration at our school. Sometimes we organize discos where we collect money for our field trips.

In December we had a Christmas party. Class 4A presented a funny play, where Santa Claus had a party in his castle in the north pole. And then his reindeer called Rudolf got lost.

In February we had a talent competition and winter holidays.

In April we went to the church where we celebrated Easter.

In May we will have a spring festival.
